Great suggestions, Michelle! I agree that avoiding calling and texting people when you are stressed (unless they are a support) can be dangerous. Sometimes we say things we can’t take back, or overreact to situations, when stressed.
I try to give myself some alone time to walk, do deep breathing, listen to calming music, etc., before interacting with others. Helps calm down my nervous system and gets me out of fight, flight, or freeze mode.
