Do any others here have children/teens/adult children with mental illness? I’m trying to connect with others for support and to find new ways to use WRAP to help my daughter with her daily life. I’d love some suggestions!! It’s a lonely path!!

    Hi Sasha,
I have an older son who experiences mental health challenges as well as a 19 year old daughter who has both physical and mental health things that she lives with. Both have done WRAP, my daughter was a wrap facilitator at age 13. It definitely is a lonely path- but I’ve also found a lot of benefit in connecting with other parents of kiddos who struggle in these areas. Sometimes the biggest part of their wrap is what they need to do every day- and then doing it!

She facilitated at 13! Wow! That is incredible. Did she do that for other peers her age? What a wonderful way to help herself and others. Thanks for sharing.

I, too, find solace in connecting with fellow parents. They “get” my life. I held my daughter with WRAP tools, and I’ve found that having predictable daily wellness plans helps us both stay in a better place mentally.
