Hi all. I am new to WRAP for mental health stuff. My mother passed away about 6 months ago and my anxiety medication that kept me stable for 11 years stopped working in November. I’m in the midst of a medication adjustment and am struggling. Mostly here just looking for peers who have been there.

I am very new to WRAP myself. I’m so sorry to hear about your mother. When I lost my mother back in December of 2015, well I’m realizing now just how much the trauma from that has affected me, and understandably you. I have avoided medication for a long time but plan to take medication myself for anxiety, and I hope you are able to find one that works better. I think sharing our thoughts and being able to relate to any level is essential for mental health, because it shows we’re not alone.

Seeing LCSW & Psych MD in real world, living with parents. My kids are in college & visit once in a while. They live 8hrs away by car. They are having the hardest time seeing me for all I am. I sleep a lot & don’t have much drive to do anything. Want another dog but the ‘rents refuse.
