Hi my name is Derek and I’m a 71 year old kiwi with a background of an abusive childhood and now have psychological and addiction issues that I believe originated back then. I’m in a situation where I am wanting to change my life and look forward to a better future for myself, my wife and my family. I am not a religious person and would rather go down the route of self help with the backing of others who have perhaps been there and done that ! Would be happy to hear from anybody who feels they could assist me on this new journey. Being in NZ I suspect most people will be in a different time zone so don’t be surprised if I don’t reply immediately.

If you’re looking for someone who relates to you with overcoming similar issues you described, I’m perhaps not the right person.
