The international holiday season is upon us! Here in the United States, we will soon celebrate Thanksgiving, and throughout the world, we are approaching many seasonal and end-of-year celebrations. Let’s make it a season of wellness! We will take the next few weeks to discuss how the strategies in the WRAP Red Book and WRAP for Life can help you maintain your wellness throughout this busy time.

Holidays are meant to be a time to celebrate and spend time together, but they can also be a time of stress. Many of us lose sight of our wellness goals. We may eat too much, drink too much, spend too much, or do too much. But we don’t have to fall into old traps, and positive changes don’t have to wait for a New Year’s resolution. Our next few newsletters will discuss how WRAP can help you avoid overindulgence or overcommitment.

The holiday season is a season of giving, but to give of yourself, you need to take care of yourself. So as you approach the season, review your WRAP and ask what you need to do to stay well. For starters, be sure to include some healthy foods in your holiday feasts to balance out all the traditional favorites. If you have any healthy festive recipes, feel free to share them on our Facebook page.

From all of us here at WRAP and Recovery Books and Advocates for Human Potential, Inc., we wish you a happy holiday season!
