Welcome 2024—The Year of WRAP!
Happy New Year to everyone in our WRAP community!
WRAP has an incredible year planned. We have many seminars and trainings scheduled—many of which are already full—with more being planned. New and updated resources and publications are on the horizon. Also, other special events are in development and will be announced in future newsletters. More highlights include:
WRAP Seminar I
The January and April virtual WRAP Seminar I are at capacity, so we’ve opened others in February and August. We’ll be adding more opportunities during the year.
WRAP Seminar II
The Charleston, South Carolina, training is full, but there’s still room in the following Seminar II trainings for those wanting to become a Certified WRAP Facilitator:
WRAP Seminar III/ Advanced Level Facilitator (ALF) Recertification
The February Seminar III/ALF Recertification is full, but we’ve just scheduled one for April in Daytona Beach, Florida. At least two additional locations will be announced soon through this newsletter and on social media and the website.
New Online Opportunity for Facilitators!
Have you ever wanted to facilitate a WRAP Seminar I online? If so, now is your chance!
After working on the best way to deliver WRAP in a virtual setting, we’re ready to share it with you!
At each Facilitator Refresher this year, participants will learn effective ways to facilitate, manage small-group activities, and keep participants engaged online, all while adhering to WRAP values and upholding WRAP ethics. We are committed to offering a variety of choices and options in accessing WRAP so that anyone interested in wellness has access to this life-changing tool.
After completing one of the Refreshers, Certified WRAP Facilitators and ALFs will have permission to offer WRAP Seminar I virtually.
Remember–Facilitators can only offer WRAP Seminar I online after taking the Refresher!
There’s still room in the March Facilitator Refresher. Additional dates for Refreshers will be announced soon.
Want to Host a WRAP Seminar?
We are seeking organizations with comfortable, accessible meeting spaces (accommodates 10 participants and two Facilitators, U-shaped table preferred) to host WRAP seminars.
The meeting space must be located near a major airport and have lodging options nearby. The seminar would then be open to both your staff and others who want to travel to the location.
This is a great way to have your staff trained without the cost of travel. We are already working with several organizations to host onsite training, and we are open to exploring this option with others.
If you are interested, email us at trainings@wellnessrecoveryactionplan.com. If you want to host a staff-only training, contact us for options.
May your new year of life fulfill many of your hopes and give you opportunities for taking personal responsibility, learning more about yourself through education, advocating for yourself, and receiving and offering support. Our hope is that we can all create the lives we desire, while living the values and ethics of WRAP.
