One day 20 years ago, a small group of people was looking for a way to overcome the mental health challenges preventing them from leading fulfilling lives. From there, they developed the Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) and it’s now used by people across the world to address health, wellness, and life goals.
While we could just celebrate WRAP’s birth-DAY, we feel like a single day just isn’t enough time. Instead, we’re celebrating WRAP’s birth-MONTH. We have some exciting things planned, and there are lots of ways for you to get involved. Here’s what you need to know.
To kick off the month, we’re running a 20/20/20 discount—20% off $20 or more to celebrate 20 years. Just use the promo code WRAPTURNS20 at checkout on WRAP and Recovery Books. This promotion will last through March 31, 2017, so now is the time to pick up that book you’ve been eyeing.
Over the last 20 years, WRAP has built a large and loyal community, and we want to celebrate you, too. All month long, we’ll be asking you to share your WRAP stories, which we’ll include in future articles. Whether you started your WRAP in 1997 or 2017, we want to hear from you. Be on the lookout for story requests here and on Facebook. If you just can’t wait, go ahead and send your story now to newsletter@wrapandrecoverybooks.com.
If you’re looking for a way to celebrate with fellow WRAP users and professionals, plan to attend this year’s WRAP Around the World in Sacramento, CA. Registration is open on the Copeland Center website. The Copeland Center also has some birthday activities planned, so we’ll keep you posted on the details when they’re announced.
Of course, a WRAP birthday wouldn’t be complete without Mary Ellen Copeland. She’ll be sharing a special message with all of you in an upcoming newsletter. Don’t forget that you can always connect with Mary Ellen directly through her new professional website, and you can see her in person during a preconference university at the NATCON Conference in Seattle, Washington, next month. Register now while space is still available.
Finally, we’ll close out the month with a special birthday celebration webinar, which promises to be fun and engaging. Stay tuned for details about the event and how you can attend.
As you can see, we have a lot planned, and we’re excited to celebrate with you. Be sure to stay connected with us and the WRAP community on Facebook. We’ll be posting #WRAPturns20 updates throughout March.
Let the celebration begin!
