Darby Penney, MLS, is a Senior Research Associate at Advocates for Human Potential, Inc. She is a long-time activist in the movement to protect the human rights of people with psychiatric disabilities. She’s led national, state, and local studies and projects at the on peer support, trauma-informed practices, and homelessness. Darby co-authored the book The Lives They Left Behind: Suitcases from a State Hospital Attic.
